Warranty FAQs

Our warranty is designed to give you complete peace of mind when purchasing an Advanced Systems gaming PC. The information below explains what is and isn't covered by our warranty.

Please note: This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights under UK law and does not affect those rights.

What warranty do you provide?

All new gaming PCs purchased from Advanced Systems include a 3-Year Return to Base (RTB) Warranty.

Our warranty includes:

  • Years 1 & 2: Parts and labour.

  • Year 3: Labour only (replacement parts are chargeable where required).

Our warranty covers genuine hardware failures resulting from normal use of the system.

What does the warranty cover?

Our warranty covers hardware faults including the diagnosis, repair or replacement of faulty components where a genuine manufacturing or hardware fault has occurred.

Where appropriate, faulty components will be repaired or replaced with the same model or an equivalent component of equal or greater performance.

What isn't covered under warranty?

Our warranty does not cover faults caused by software or user-installed applications.

Examples include:

  • Windows corruption.

  • Failed Windows or driver updates.

  • Virus or malware infections.

  • Software conflicts.

  • Problems caused by software installed by the customer.

  • Performance issues caused by third-party software.

If a software issue has been directly caused by software or configuration installed by Advanced Systems, we will of course rectify the issue.

Does the warranty cover accidental damage?

No.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage.

  • Liquid damage.

  • Physical damage.

  • Cosmetic damage.

  • Damage caused by misuse or neglect.

  • Damage caused by inadequate packaging during return transit.

  •

Who pays for shipping?

For the first 14 days after delivery, Advanced Systems will cover the cost of returning the system to us should a warranty issue arise.

After the initial 14-day period, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the return of the system to our workshop.

Once repairs have been completed, we'll arrange return shipment in accordance with our warranty policy.

How should I package my PC if it needs returning?

We strongly recommend keeping all original packaging, including:

  • The outer box.

  • The inner box.

  • Foam inserts.

  • Internal GPU support.

  • CPU cooler support packaging.

  • Any additional protective materials supplied with the PC.

These materials are specifically designed to protect your system during transport.

If a system is returned without adequate packaging and is damaged during transit, this damage may not be covered by the courier's insurance and any repair costs resulting from poor packaging may become the customer's responsibility.

Any shipping damage that occurs while your system is being delivered from Advanced Systems to you is fully covered by us.

Is the warranty transferable?

No.

Our warranty applies only to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred if the system is sold or given to another person.

Can I upgrade or repair the PC myself?

You're welcome to carry out upgrades such as adding additional storage or memory.

However, the warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Incorrect installation of components.

  • Improper repairs.

  • Accidental damage during upgrades.

  • Damage caused while cleaning or maintaining the system.

  • Any unauthorised modification that results in a fault.

If damage is caused during customer-performed work, repairs relating to that damage will not be covered under warranty.

Can another repair shop repair my PC?

If you choose to have repairs carried out by another repair company without our prior written agreement, those repair costs are not covered by our warranty.

If another repair shop diagnoses a component as faulty, the system must still be returned to Advanced Systems so that our technicians can carry out our own inspection and testing.

We cannot:

  • Send replacement parts based solely on another company's diagnosis.

  • Reimburse repair costs carried out elsewhere.

  • Pay for third-party replacement components without first verifying the fault ourselves.

This ensures accurate diagnosis and prevents unnecessary replacement of working components.

Do you offer upgrade services?

Yes.

One of the benefits of buying from Advanced Systems is that we offer free fitting and stress testing for future upgrades, provided the upgrade component is purchased directly from us.

You'll only pay for the new component itself.

The customer is responsible for getting the system to our workshop for the upgrade.

Every upgraded system is fully tested before being returned to you.

Do you buy back old components?

Yes.

When upgrading your PC through Advanced Systems, we may offer to purchase your existing compatible components to help offset the cost of your upgrade.

The value offered will depend on the component's condition, age, specification and current market value.

What happens if my PC develops a fault?

Simply contact our support team with:

  • Your order number (if available).

  • A description of the fault.

  • Any error messages.

  • Photographs or videos where appropriate.

We'll work with you to diagnose the issue and, if required, arrange for the system to be returned to us for inspection and repair.

Our goal is always to resolve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible while keeping you informed throughout the process.

Refurbished Gaming PCs

Our refurbished gaming PCs include a 6-Month Return to Base (RTB) Warranty covering refurbished hardware components.

For the first 14 days after delivery, Advanced Systems will cover the cost of returning the system to us should a warranty issue arise.

After the initial 14-day period, customers are responsible for arranging and paying for the return of the system to our workshop.

Part New / Part Refurbished Systems

Systems built using a combination of new and refurbished components include separate warranty periods depending on the component supplied.

  • New components: 12-month warranty.

  • Refurbished components: 6-month warranty.

Should a warranty claim arise, each component will be covered according to its individual warranty period.

As with all of our systems, return shipping is covered by Advanced Systems during the first 14 days following delivery. After this period, customers are responsible for returning the system to us for warranty inspection or repair.

All warranties provided by Advanced Systems are Return to Base (RTB) warranties and are supplied in addition to your statutory consumer rights under UK consumer law.
